Basset Games

basset olympics

The Basset Hound Olympics began in 1990 as a fun event for EEBHF club members and their dogs. We wanted to put together a competition where all member’s dogs could compete equally, be they show dogs or family pets. We soon began to invite other people who owned bassets to come and participate. About this time, we realized that we could help Basset Hounds in need by using a portion of these proceeds to help fund our Basset Rescue efforts.

2004 was the rebirth of these events with a new name, location.  The new name became the EEBHFBasset Games and the location is Legion Park

Since 2007, Oregon Basset Rescue has taken over sponsorship of the event and they continue to strive to make it enjoyable and fun for participants and spectators. If you are thinking of attending these Games, plan on bringing your family and friends, your basset hounds, and a good sense of humor. If you have been with us before, know that there is always something new each year. You will be amazed by what you will see. Plan for a full day of fun!
